Why Hydro Miners Need a Dedicated Cord
Hydro-cooled Antminers run at higher sustained wattages than their air-cooled equivalents because there is no thermal throttling. The APW11 PSU draws more current from the mains, which places greater stress on the AC power cord. A standard-grade cord will develop resistive heating at the connectors and along the conductor, risking intermittent shutdowns or connector damage. This premium cord is rated for the full continuous current draw of the APW11 with margin for safe operation.
Installation
Plug the PSU-side connector into the APW11's AC inlet until fully seated. Connect the PDU-side plug to your power distribution unit or circuit breaker. Verify both connections are firm — a partially seated plug will arc under the high current draw. Route the cord away from coolant lines and ensure it does not obstruct access to the hydro manifold connections.
